Will withdraw Jan Suraj campaign if Bihar Govt provides 5-10 lakh jobs in 2 years, says Prashant Kishor
Election strategist Prashant Kishor has announced that he would withdraw the recently launched Jan Suraj Abhiyan if Bihar Government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar manage to provide 5-10 lakh jobs in the next one or two years.
Kishor’s comment came just a couple of days after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar promised to provide 20 lakh jobs.
While giving his Independence Day speech at Gandhi Maidan, Chief Minister said that RJD and Janata Dal (United) alliance government “We will do so much to create jobs and employment opportunities for the children of the state — in both government and outside — that if we succeed, we want to take the figure to 20 lakhs.”
Taking a jibe at the chief minister, Kishor said, “Nitish Kumar uses ‘Fevicol’ (adhesive brand) to stick to the CM’s post, while other parties continue to revolve around it.”
Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had recently said that his party, as part of the new government, would deliver on the promise of providing 10 lakh jobs, made during 2020 Assembly elections.
Kishor, a former aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, predicted more upheavals in the state’s political scenario before the next assembly polls.
“It has been only three months since I entered the political arena in Bihar, and the politics in the state took a 180-degree turn. The state will witness more political upheavals in the near future.”
Kishor, who was earlier a part of the JD(U), had announced earlier in the year that he would launch ‘Jan Suraj Abhiyan’ to establish regional connections, find out about problems faced by the people of Bihar, and provide possible solutions to them.
