Bumper vacancy in BPSC: check eligibility, application dates, exam details
Candidates between 21 and 37 years of age can apply. They must have completed graduation or an equivalent examination from a recognised university.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published the notification for recruitment to the post of 70th Combined Prelims Competitive Exam. A total of 1957 vacancies are announced. Registration begins on September 28.
Out of the total 1957 vacancies, 1954 are for Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) and 4 vacancies for Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) posts.
How to apply
Candidates can access the official notification by visiting BPSC’s main website at bpsc.bih.nic.in. As per the notice, the online application process will commence on September 28, 2024, and the last date to register is October 18, 2024. Apart from the official website, candidates can submit their forms at onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
To apply for the BPSC 70th CCE examination, follow the steps given below.
- Visit the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
- Click on BPSC 70th CCE 2024 registration link available on the home page.
- Enter the registration details and click on submit.
- Once done, fill the application form.
- Make the payment of the application fee.
- Click on submit and download the page.
- Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
Who can apply
Candidates between 21 and 37 years of age can apply. They must have completed graduation or an equivalent examination from a recognized university.
Application Fee
Candidates in the general category will need to pay Rs 600 as the registration fee, while the fee is Rs 150 for all other applicants. Those who use their Aadhaar Card for identification will also need to pay an additional biometric fee of Rs 200.
Examination
The BPSC 70th CCE exam in 2024 will consist of two stages — a preliminary examination followed by a mains examination. The preliminary exam will be two hours long and will include objective questions totaling 150 marks. Negative marking will be applied for incorrect answers. Only those who pass the preliminary exam will be eligible to take the mains exam.

Examination Date
BPSC CCE Prelims Exam is expected to be held on 17 November 2024. Those who apply for the exam will be called for the prelims exam followed by the mains exam.
