Covid-19 crisis has taken a significant toll on the psychological and mental health of people. Uncertainties and fear associated with the disease have impacted almost every section of the society – from kids and students to professionals and elderly.
The entire country was lockdown for over two months and a large number of population is forced to live in quarantine. This is leading to several psychological and mental issues.
Perhaps the most disturbing characteristic of Covid-19 pandemic is the uncertainties and fear. A large number of professionals and workers have lost their jobs and even those who are surviving don’t know what will happen next month. Similar uncertainties and are surrounding the businessmen and other section of the society as well. There have been increase in the cases of domestic violence. This Bihar Development Dialogue was focused on the following:

About Dr. Saurabh Kumar
Dr Saurabh Kumar, M.D., graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, in 2009 and completed postgraduate studies at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 2014. He has completed his senior residency from the Department of Psychiatry and National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2017. He is currently working as a Assistant Professor in department of psychiatry at prestigious Patna Medical College and Hospital. He has more than 50 national and international articles published in various reputed journals and has contributed more than 10 chapters in different books.
