Chirag Paswan to Lalan Singh, who gets what from Bihar in Modi 3.0 cabinet

Four MPs from Bihar have also been inducted in Modi 3.0 cabinet as minister of state

In Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government four MPs from Bihar have got cabinet berths, out of which only one is from BJP while three are from the allies, one each from JDU, LJP-Ram Vilas and HAM.

Janata Dal (United) former national president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, who won the Lok Sabha (LS) polls from Munger, has got Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Ministries.

LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan has been allocated the Food Processing Industries Ministry. Chirag’s party won all the five seats that it contested as part of the NDA alliance in Bihar. Chirag won from the Hajipur seat that his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, had won on several occasions. He has now succeeded his father in the Union Cabinet.

Bihar’s former chief minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi has been appointed Cabinet minister for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME). Manjhi is a Lok Sabha MP from Gaya. As part of the NDA his party contested only Gaya seat.  the only seat his party contested, had served as Bihar chief minister from May 2014 to February 2015.

Other minister from Bihar who have got cabinet berth in Modi 3.0 government is BJP leader Giriraj Singh. Singh, who retained Begusarai seat in the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, has been allocated Ministry of Textiles.

Four MPs from Bihar have also been inducted in Modi 3.0 cabinet as minister of state or junior ministers. JDU’s Ram Nath Thakur has been made Minister of State in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry, while BJP’s Nityanand Rai was given the post of MoS, Home again. Satish Chandra Dubey has been made Minister of State for Coal and Mines, and Raj Bhushan Chaudhary is the Minister of State in the Jal Shakti Ministry.
